On Wednesday evening, the kids and myself (Brian was working late) went to the Country Springs Hotel to drive through their "Country Christmas" lights. The first and only other time we have done this was two Christmases ago when Tricia and I were both pregnant riding in the back seat of our truck with Brian driving and Lexi sitting on Dustin's lap looking at all the lights...and I think it was raining that year! How time flies by!! Jack wasn't really sure what to think of everything. This is pretty close to what his expression was for most of the ride! Too funny!

Lexi was SOOO happy to see all the lights!

Jack is starting to get a little tired!

This was a tunnel of LED lights that you drive through and the lights flash and it was very cool! (Obviously this was Mom's favorite part of the lights!)

At the end of the light show there is a building you can go into where they serve hot chocolate and cookies. They also have a train set, which was Jack's favorite part of the entire night. He just kept saying to me, "Mommy, Mommy! CHOO-CHOO!!" It was great!!

Last night we ventured over to Dustin and Tricia's to exchange Christmas gifts. I took more video than pictures so these are the only photos I have from the evening. (I am sure I can get more photos from Tricia!)
Riley was very curious of the big box we brought over for her.
PEEK....
...A BOO!!!

Here is the gift we gave Riley; a push Buggy for taking walks. Riley was kind enough to share with Jackson!

Thank you, again, Dustin and Tricia for all our wonderful gifts! We are truly blessed to have you as a part of our family.

Merry Christmas!

We had a very busy weekend! I will begin with Sunday because that is the way the photos loaded up! :) Brian's brother Elliot brought the kids Christmas gifts over to our house a bit early this year. He gave Jack this awsome Tonka truck that he couldn't wait to get in to! Jack and Riley took turns climbing in the truck. What a goofy little girl, that Riley is!

On Saturday night, all of the Halyburtons went out to dinner for Brian's Dad's 60th birthday. We took him to this great place in downtown Milwaukee called "Sabor". We all had a great time! It was great food and great company! Happy Birthday, Dad!

We bought our first sled for the kids this winter and busted it out on Saturday. We started by pulling it behind our 4-wheeler and then just rode it down the hill on the side of our house. Lexi and I rode the sled while Brian and Jack drove the 4-wheeler.
Lexi looked so funny laying on the sled! She was so bundled up, you couldn't even see her!Jackson only rode on the sled a couple of times; he mostly wanted to ride on the "wheeler", as the kids love to call it!

Here is a short clip of the kids coming down the hill on the sled!!

Friday afternoon, I overheard an interesting conversation between Brian and Jack. I found them in Jack's room looking out the window, talking about everything they could outside. Brian was doing most of the talking but Jack was pointing to things he saw and trying to get the words out! It was very cute!

Brian turned 33 this year and what a better way to celebrate then with his two biggest fans!! Dustin, Tricia and Riley as well as our good friends Jason and Emily stopped by to celebrate with us. It was a very enjoyable night with good friends! Thank you all and Happy Birthday Brian! We love you!!

My mom is going to be on a cruise this Christmas so we decided to celebrate early at her house in Whitewater a little over a week ago. We had a great time! We started by putting up the tree and decorating it with the kids. They helped a lot by climbing up on down the ladder!

While Jackson was napping, Lexi was decorating Christmas cutout cookies with Grandma!
