On Wednesday night after dinner, I decided to take the kids and our dog, Cash to this great dog we just discovered this past weekend. It is right in Waukesha and it is HUGE!! I couldn't believe how big this place was and that I have never heard about it until now. Not to mention it is only 10 mintues away from our house. It is part of the Waukesha County Parks system and completly fenced in! (This was great for our dog and for Jack because they both love to run around and I knew neither of them could get out!)

We were in Three Lakes this weekend and took the kids to a nearby town that had an old Lumberjack Steam Train. We rode the train about 10 minutes down the track to a farm and museum. The farm had a petting zoo area, which the kids just loved!! At the museum, that had a blacksmith making horseshoes just like they used to many many years ago. They also had a general store and play area for the kids. It was a lot of fun!

Lexi is starting to "read" books. She has actually memorized this book in particular and loves to read it to me every night! Enjoy!

On Monday night, the kids and I were wasting some time, waiting for Brian to get home from work. They were being very playful and giggling constantly! I couldn't resist snapping just a few photos of them! :)

Jack looks so funny squeezed between Lexi and I! I guess our chairs are not made for three people! :)

That looks more comforable, doesn't it?!?

Here are a few lost photos and video clips of the kids playing in the flood water after all the rain we got last month.

It was a wonderful weekend to celebrate the Fourth of July! We took the kids to Whitewater for their annual 4th of July Parade on Friday morning. Lexi was a little shy about going up to get candy so she mostly sat on her Great Grandmother's lap for the parade. Jack worked the crowd and ate lots of crackers and candy! He would glance up occasionally at the parade when the fire trucks past by us and point at them and say, "TRUCK"!

Here is the Egnoski Clan, all enjoying the parade! The whole Egnoski family sat together for the parade and we had a great time! Tim, my brother, was the only one missing (he was out of town for the weekend).
The kids were very tired after all the festivities in Whitewater so instead of going to watch fireworks, we bought our own. We got the kids sparklers but Lexi thought they were going to be loud like fireworks. She stood on the porch with me with her hands over her ears while Brian and Jack lit the sparklers! Jack thought they were pretty cool, as you can tell by the look on his face!

One Friday afternoon and Saturday morning we decided to paint the kids playset. We have had this playset for about 1 year but couldn't decided on whether we should stain it or paint it. The paint won and now it looks great! Lexi really enjoyed helping Dad paint the low spots!

On Sunday we took the kids to a beach in Waukesha County park, not far from our house. I did not bring the camera because I didn't want it to get full of sand but we had a great time swimming with the kids and playing in the sand. Jack is pretty fearless in the water; he walked all the way out by himself until the water was up to his chest before he would turn around and head back to shore. Meanwhile, our little girl who just finished swimming lessons didn't go in past her knees!! Go figure!! She was having more fun building sandcastles!
So, we ended our long and eventful weekend with a nice bowl of popcorn before we went to bed last night!

We hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July as much as we did!
