Dance-Dance

Jackson loves to dance...and he does it so well, don't you think?!?

Most people age only one day at a time but I, on the other hand, age two...sometimes three days at a time; ever since Jack learned how to stand up on his chair! The child has no fear of anything! I suppose I fear enough for the both of us! :) It's strange because I do not remember Lexi ever doing anything like this! Must be a boy-thing!

We went to Brian's parents house in Chicago for Easter weekend. This was Lexi's first time coloring eggs. We had a great time! Jack is still too young for it but he sat at the table with us to watch. Lexi just wanted to watch Susan and I color the eggs and tell us which color to use at first but then she decided to get in on the action!

A short clip of Lexi going down the slide at the end of her lesson. She was a little nervous so her teacher went down with her.

Last week Thursday, Mother Nature was kind enough to give us some half-way decent weather, so we took full advantage of it and went to the zoo!
The kids and I went with my good friend Desiree and her son, Dominic. Jack is only 9 days older than Dominic so we try to get them together as often as we can, which can be difficult since they recently moved to Kenosha! :(
Most of the animals were inside that day because it was still a bit too cold for them. The lions were putting on a great show for us! Lexi wasn't as frightened this time around so she got right up to the glass to see them close up!
Here are Jack and Dominic just sitting back, taking in the sites! They were really not too interested in the animals but did enjoy being pushed around together in the stroller!

The giraffes are Lexi's favorite! Only one giraffe was in the building when we came in but soon the other two (who were much taller than the first) came indoors as well. Jackson's eyes got so big when they first walked in because it was his first time really seeing one up close! He seemed to think they were pretty amazing! Then he remembered how tired he was...

...very, very tired!

Last Wednesday, Tricia and I had appointments to get our hair cut...at separte times, of course. So, Tricia dropped Riley off at my house in the morning while she was at her appointment. Then, I dropped off my kids at her house in the afternoon for my appointment. We then stayed for dinner at their house so the kids had only 2-3 hours when then were not with each other!! They have so much fun together! I am so glad we live close to each other so it can continue! I took so many pictures and videos of them that I am posting them as a video/slideshow! Enjoy!

On Friday afternoon, Lexi and I did some sewing on her new quilt that I am making for her. She loves it so far though I don't think she knows exactly what it is since we only have the first two rows pieced together!
She said the colors are very pretty!

Lexi is becoming quite the photogenic little girl!
Here are a few of her modeling poses! Too cute!

Jack was minding is own business until he noticed Mom had the camera...and that his sister was getting all the attention! Of course he had to put an end to that real quick!!

Getting right in front of his sister...

...and smiling for the camera!
