We woke up Monday morning a bit surprised by the amount of snow on the ground. The kids were so excited to see the snow! Lexi wanted to go play in it right away and I think Jack was just trying to figure out where it all came from! Lexi was doing her best to explain to him that all that "white stuff"was called snow. By the time we were finished with breakfast, Jack was pointing out the window and saying, "OOOHHHH, SNOW"!
Here is what the kids were seeing outside our patio door.

Lexi shares her birthday with our good friend, Emily. Emily and Jason came over for a visit on Sunday and we had yet another celebration for Lexi's birthday.

Here are a few photos of the Birthday Girls!!

Jackson really liked the cupcakes too!

What a wonderful weekend we all had at the Dells!! It was Lexi's 4th birthday on Friday so we decided to treat her to trip to the Wilderness Resort, to play in their indoor waterpark. Dustin, Tricia and Riley joined us for the trip.
Here are the kids, playing around in the bunk bed!

Playing with the light switches.
Lexi opens her gifts Friday evening.
Magnetic dress-up doll kit!
Oh boy, what could it be!!
Wow!! A Carousel Music Box!!
Thanks, Mom!!
Wow, there's more!!
Puzzels!!
The resort had this great playhouse called The Timberland Playhouse. They had these air machines that shot Nerf balls into the air. Here is Lexi and Riley collecting the balls.

The walk to the play-areas from our room took about 10-15 minutes. After all the playing and running around on Friday, the kids were a little too tired to walk!

Here is Lexi in the waterpark on Saturday. The water was a little too chilly for the kids but it was still a lot of fun! I cannot wait for our next trip!!

On Sunday, my mom and brother came over to celebrate Thanksgiving as well as Lexi's birthday a little early this year. We will be gone for Lexi's birthday this coming weekend and on Thanksgiving we will be celebrating with Brian's family. We had a great day with them and Lexi was so excited to finally eat her butterfly birthday cake!

On Friday morning, Jackson just about gave me a heart attack!! We had just finished breakfast and the kids were running around, playing while I cleaned up the kitchen. Suddenly, Lexi came into the kitchen and said, "Mommy, you better go get him!" Confused, I walked down the hall to Jackson's room and guess where I found him??? Standing on top of his changing table, looking out the window!! The windows in the kids bedrooms are 4 feet up from the floor!! Well, I knew it was time for some rearranging in Jackson's room! We moved out the changing table and transformed his bed from a crib to a toddler's bed. He has been doing pretty good with it so far, knock on wood! The kids were having fun playing in Jack's new bed and here are a few photos to show that! Enjoy!

I couldn't resist snapping a few photos of the kids tonight while they were waiting for dinner/Daddy to get home.

As most of you SHOULD know, Lexi's 4th birthday is next week Friday! :)
We will be taking her on a little family vacation next weekend so we will celebrating with my family this weekend. Lexi picked this cake out of a cooking magazine. I wanted to have a trial run with it before this weekend. (Please excuse the messy pan it lies on; I have yet to transfer it to a platter!)I cannot believe our baby girl is turning four!

On Sunday, we took the kids to the Trainfest at the Wisconsin Expo Center. We had such a great time! There was so many model train sets there; we didn't know what to look at first. The kids were so excited to see all the trains! Unfortunately for them this was a "Look but DO NOT TOUCH" event, but it was still a great day!
This train set was made entirely of Lego's! Isn't that amazing?!?

This suitcase was transformed into a miniature train set that ran like all the others! So cool!

I was just amazed at the size of this bridge. It was almost as tall as I am!
They even had a train there that you could actually ride on! This was Lexi and Jack's favorite part of the day!
