When you are having a baby, you usually receive a 20-week ultrasound and you can find out the sex of your baby. We did have an ultrasound last month and wanted to find out the sex of the baby but the doctor was unable to get a real good look. You see, Brian was unable to attend the ultrasound so the doctor just glanced in that direction and then wrote down the sex on a sheet a paper and sealed it in an envelope. That way Brian and I could open it together. He wrote, "GIRL!" and we were very excited and told everyone it was a girl. Yesterday I had my 24-week appointment and wanted the doctor to check just one more time to make sure he was correct and it was a good thing we did because he found something that wasn't visible before...a penis!
We are now proud to announce that we are expecting a handsome baby boy...and we have a picture to prove it!

Today was Lexi's Big Day! She had her Preschool Graduation this morning. She still has one more day of school next Tuesday but that is more of a "fun day" for the kids!
We are so proud of our big girl! She has grown so much over this past school year, not only with her schooling but also in her appearance! On September 17, 2009, she weighed 38 lbs. and was 42 inches tall. Then on May 13, 2010, she weighed in at 41 lbs. and is 44 inches tall! Our big girl, indeed!
Congrats to you, Alexis! We love more every day!

We spent this year's Memorial Day Weekend up north in Three Lakes. The weather was perfect all weekend long and we spent every day outside. The lakes are very low along the chain which wasn't all bad because the kids had a very nice beach to play on right by the water. We are all hoping it stays like this all summer and we really wouldn't mind if it stayed like this forever!

We took the kids fishing on Saturday night. We only caught two fish but we still had fun. The hardest part was trying to keep Jackson quiet! :-)

We went to my mom's house for Mother's Day this year. There is a large hay field behind her house. Our dog enjoyed running and jumping around. My brother's dog would play "Fetch" with anyone who would throw him a stick, even Jackson! Every now and then, Jacks would join them in the field! Lexi wasn't too thrilled with the idea; she decided it would be more fun to help Grandma in the kitchen!

Back to Jellystone we headed just this past weekend for three days of camping! The theme for this weekend was "Honor our Heros" and the Caledonia Fire Department made a short visit to the campground. The kids were able to sit in the fire truck and look at all the equipment! It was great! I wish I had more pictures to share from our great weekend but we were just too busy having fun that we kind of forgot about taking pictures!! :-)

The camping season is officially upon us and we are taking advantage of every minute!! We have not had to travel far from home to enjoy camping either! We stay at a great campground called Jellystone in Caledonia, which is about 40 minutes from home. It is part of a chain of campgrounds throughout the US; about 7 of them in Wisconsin. The kids love it and Brian used to camp here with his family when he was younger. My family also camped at Jellystone campgrounds but it was always in the Dells.
These first few photos are from two weekends ago (May 1st) when we headed out for the first time this year. Lexi and Jack were very excited to be back at Yogi's! The first thing they had to do was jump on the Jumping Pillow!
We found a new playset that had been built at the campground and found ourselves spending more time there than at the Jumping Pillow!

The kids have finally made it to their first Brewers Game!! We were able to get tickets last minute to the Sunday night game and we were so excited to go with the kids! We made it to about the top of the 6th inning before we had to leave; the kids were getting tired! They did really well the whole time we were there.

Our seats were right by the opposing team's dugout. This St. Louis Cardinals player was signing autographs before the game. I wasn't sure who he was but thought I should take his picture...and he was kind of cute too!! :-)
