On Sunday, my mom and brother came over to celebrate Thanksgiving as well as Lexi's birthday a little early this year. We will be gone for Lexi's birthday this coming weekend and on Thanksgiving we will be celebrating with Brian's family. We had a great day with them and Lexi was so excited to finally eat her butterfly birthday cake!

On Friday morning, Jackson just about gave me a heart attack!! We had just finished breakfast and the kids were running around, playing while I cleaned up the kitchen. Suddenly, Lexi came into the kitchen and said, "Mommy, you better go get him!" Confused, I walked down the hall to Jackson's room and guess where I found him??? Standing on top of his changing table, looking out the window!! The windows in the kids bedrooms are 4 feet up from the floor!! Well, I knew it was time for some rearranging in Jackson's room! We moved out the changing table and transformed his bed from a crib to a toddler's bed. He has been doing pretty good with it so far, knock on wood! The kids were having fun playing in Jack's new bed and here are a few photos to show that! Enjoy!

I couldn't resist snapping a few photos of the kids tonight while they were waiting for dinner/Daddy to get home.

As most of you SHOULD know, Lexi's 4th birthday is next week Friday! :)
We will be taking her on a little family vacation next weekend so we will celebrating with my family this weekend. Lexi picked this cake out of a cooking magazine. I wanted to have a trial run with it before this weekend. (Please excuse the messy pan it lies on; I have yet to transfer it to a platter!)
I cannot believe our baby girl is turning four!
On Sunday, we took the kids to the Trainfest at the Wisconsin Expo Center. We had such a great time! There was so many model train sets there; we didn't know what to look at first. The kids were so excited to see all the trains! Unfortunately for them this was a "Look but DO NOT TOUCH" event, but it was still a great day!

This train set was made entirely of Lego's! Isn't that amazing?!?

This suitcase was transformed into a miniature train set that ran like all the others! So cool!

Saturday was a beautiful day to play outside. The kids and I racked leaves in the backyard. I thought it would be fun for them to slide into the big pile of leaves and they just loved it!!

Here is a short clip of the kids. Enjoy!
On Halloween night, we took the kids to Dustin and Tricia's house to go Trick 'o' Treating in their neighborhood. Our Princess and Pirate had a great time!

Look at how cute our niece Riley looks! And her loyal companion, Roxie, looks adorable too!!

Then he was walking with all of us...
And finally, Mom had to carry him!!

Lexi was a very brave Princess towards the end of the evening; she wanted to go to the doors of houses all by herself. What a big girl she is becoming!!

Jack was having a hard time deciding what he wanted to do.
First he rode in the wagon...
