This past weekend we took the kids camping at a campground that Brian and I used to go to when we were kids in the Dells! It was great to be back at Jellystone; it was almost like I remembered, although everything seemed a bit smaller and they have Wi-Fi now! :)
The kids thought camping was great! They loved sleeping in Grandma's camper and cooking dinner in tin-foil over a fire (aka Campfire Stew)!
This was the view from our campsite looking into the woods. Just pass that log laying on the ground was a big drop-off that my cousin had fallen off years ago and broke her arm! I was a bit nervous of that with Lexi and Jack but they did great! No falling or broken bones! Yay!!
Here is the view at our campsite from the drop-off spot!
Here is our campsite! The kids slept in the camper along with my mom and Uncle Tim. Brian and I slept in the tent. It did get a bit chilly at night but we did have cots (Thank you Rob and Susan) to keep us off the ground!
Look at those blue eyes! Like looking in a mirror, huh Grandpa E.? ;)
We took the kids mini-golfing on Saturday night! Lexi loved it and about half way through the 18-holes, she was doing better than all of us adults!
Uncle Tim trying to teach Jack to hold his club like a hockey stick!
Jackson deciding that he can hold the club any way he wants!
Aren't we so cute!?!
